During the COVID-19 lockdown, People of Hope stepped forward to support vulnerable communities and migrant workers facing unprecedented hardship across India. At a time when millions of people were struggling to find food, employment, transportation, medical assistance, and basic necessities, our team worked continuously to provide relief and connect those in need with available support.

People of Hope collaborated with several NGOs, volunteers, social organizations, and individuals across different parts of India to reach people who were stranded or struggling during the lockdown. Our efforts particularly focused on labourers, migrant workers, daily-wage earners, poor families, elderly people, and others who suddenly lost their sources of income.

We helped connect people with food, essential supplies, employment-related assistance, medicines, and online medical consultations. When individuals faced medical difficulties but could not easily visit hospitals or clinics, we helped facilitate online consultations and guidance wherever possible. We also coordinated with local organizations and individuals so that assistance could reach people more quickly.

The lockdown created enormous challenges for migrant workers travelling long distances to return to their homes. People of Hope tried to support them by coordinating with volunteers and NGOs, helping them access food and other essential assistance during their difficult journey.

Through teamwork, compassion, and community cooperation, more than 40,000 people benefited from our relief and support efforts during the lockdown period. This experience strengthened our commitment to serving humanity without discrimination and demonstrated the power of collective action.

The COVID-19 crisis taught us that even a small effort can bring hope to someone facing a difficult moment. People of Hope remains committed to working with communities, organizations, donors, volunteers, and individuals to build a more compassionate and supportive society.
