On the night of June 12, 2021, at around 11:30 p.m., a devastating fire broke out in the Rohingya refugee camp, leaving families facing fear, loss, and uncertainty. The flames spread rapidly through the densely populated camp, where many families were living in temporary shelters and already facing difficult humanitarian conditions. As people rushed to safety, homes and essential belongings were destroyed, and many families were left in urgent need of shelter, food, clean water, medical assistance, and emotional support.

The tragedy was another painful reminder of the vulnerability faced by displaced Rohingya families. For children, women, elderly people, and other vulnerable community members, the fire created an immediate need for protection and care. Beyond the physical destruction, such disasters can leave deep emotional scars and disrupt the fragile sense of safety that families struggle to rebuild.

People of Hope – Changing Lives stands in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy. In times of disaster, compassion and collective action can make a meaningful difference. Support can help provide emergency food, clean drinking water, temporary shelter, medical care, essential supplies, and hope for families beginning again after loss.

As communities come together, recovery becomes possible. Every act of kindness, every contribution, and every effort to support affected families can help restore dignity and rebuild lives.

Together, we can bring hope where it is needed most.
